Our Mission

Recently, at REYS, we updated our mission statement. The former statement was a bit long and was not as concise as we thought it should be. Our mission statement must reflect who we are, what our purpose is, and the values of our organization. I believe that our new mission statement meets these criteria without a lot of fluff. So here it is: It is the mission of Rainbow’s End Youth Services to reach local youth with the life-changing gospel of Jesus Christ. That’s it. I really like this new statement because it is concise and clearly conveys our mission. Do we have fun with the kids who come to REYS? Absolutely! But everything we do at REYS is to advance God’s kingdom plan: to reach local youth with the life-changing gospel of Jesus. If you have volunteered and your only interaction with the kids has been helping with the games, don’t think you are not making a difference. God is using you to forge trusting relationships so that when the time comes for you to share your faith more directly, the relationship has been established.
