Rainbow’s End Youth Services is now RAISE28

Rainbow’s End Youth Services has officially changed our name to RAISE28. The name change was needed as the name, “Rainbow’s End Youth Services,” no longer accurately captures the mission and the services we provide. Over the years, more and more people referred to Rainbow’s End Youth Services by the acronym, “REYS,” which also does not connect with our mission, to reach local youth with the life-changing gospel of Jesus Christ.

We chose the word, “RAISE,” as it is phonetically the same as “REYS.” The added bonus of RAISE is that it allows us to share our faith, that Jesus died for our sins, was RAISED from the dead, and is now our Lord and Savior. RAISE allows us to share our mission to RAISE the next generation of young people who are following Jesus and flourishing. RAISE also represents our desire to RAISE students up from dark and hard places.

As part of the renaming process we also updated our mission statement to make it more concise: Our mission is to reach local youth with the life-changing gospel of Jesus Christ. With this new statement in mind, 28 refers to Matthew 28:19-20: “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them everything that I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Our new mission statement aligns very well with these verses from Matthew 28.

So, Rainbow’s End Youth Services is now RAISE28.
